Another gaming year has gone by for us who love to shuffle well organized pixels around the screen for no reason other than pure joy!
In spite of a lot of “big” shit games this year, the gaming year 2025 has been fucking awesome. But the “big” games failed and all sucked or was mediocre at best. No need to go on. This is about good games. I’m not going to pick one game for “The Game of the Year” this year. I’m going to pick 3!
Some honorable mentions:
First I have to state that I fucking hate turn based games. Expedition 33 seem to catch a lot of attention this year and it looks great, but turn based….mehhh
Kingdome Come Deliverance 2 is also great, but a little bit too slow paced.
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, Elden Ring: Nightreign and Arc Raiders also good fun games!
But here are my top 3 games of 2025 in order of release date:
The first game is The First Berserker Khazan released 27th March.
I did the demo and was sold right away. Not all that found of the cartoon style, but when done well, as this one was, I manage 😉
The second game is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers released 24th July.
I was reserved at launch. Then I said fuck it an bought the Deluxe Edition and jumped in. 239 hours later, 100% Achievements and 4,5 playthroughs I can safely say I really like this one. Here are my Steam review:
“Eve (Stellar Blade) and the Destined One (Black Myth Wukong) had a baby. Together they created a beautiful pirate named Bai Wuchang with a very Dark Soul. WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is better than all 3 games mentioned. Awesome game!!!”
The third game is Where Winds Meet released 14th November.
This came out of nowhere and it’s fucking free. It pissed over all competition and still going strong. It has the Chinese take on games which result in way to many currencies and way to much to do and manage, but who I’m I to complain. It looks and plays bloody awesome. There is no reason to not get this one!
There you have it. 2025, a great gaming year! A last fuck you to a lot of, once great, but now a fucking overpriced woke DEI pile of shit games from “AAA” studios. Just scatter and go back to make good games, or just fuck off!
