Both the Reims and Berlin instruments of surrender stipulated that forces under German control to cease active operations at 23:01 hours CET on 8 May 1945. However, due to the difference in Central European and Moscow time zones, the end of war is celebrated on 9 May in the USSR and most post-Soviet countries.

Between 1561 and 1760, about 860 people were put on trial for witchcraft in No(r)way, resulting in about 277 confirmed executions, most of them burnt alive. About 400 years later, lawyer Jostein Løken want to rectify the atrocities done to people accused of black magic and witchcraft.

Urbain Grandier

Urbain Grandier (born in 1590 in Bouère – died on 18 August 1634 in Loudun) was a French Catholic priest who was burned at the stake after being convicted of witchcraft, following the events of the so-called “Loudun Possessions”.
