So they find a 500 year old dog skeleton and get touched, worked up, a little jizz in their pants even? And even the Norwegian government-owned radio and television public broadcasting company, NRK find this amazing and apparently breaking news. The dog had a leash (no shit!) and had eaten fish as his last meal…OK! Fucking amazing!
Breaking News! Dogs have been with us for a very long time:

Archaeology seems to be very engaging to many people, but come on, don’t we already know that our ancestors been around for about six million years, the modern form of humans only evolved about 200,000 years ago. Civilization as we know it is only about 6,000 years old, and industrialization started in the earnest only in the 1800s? And they all had some form of shelter/housing, they ate, they drank, had sex, broke their bones, buried their dead, and so on. We should already, in 2021, already know this…right? Right!?
Archaeologists would argue that without archaeology we wouldn’t know these things, but do we really need to know all these things? Again, and again, and again and fucking again!
I’m certain that the time and money spent on archaeology in this day and age could be used on better things. Like cutting down trees to let the political environment activists build a road for their el-bikes…
Personally I think it’s time to stop digging around in the past to find answers to our future. The only thing it boils down to, is that we keep doing the same mistakes over and over. Only in 2021 we are more people on earth, “smarter” and have better and more dangerous technology than ever. Still we use all this knowledge to fight over stupid things like, religions, race, “holy places”, old books, fantasy gods and figures etc.
Going at this rate we will only destroy our selves back to the stone ages. Hopefully in the future, if there is any humans left on earth, they are smarter than us and let our stupidity stay buried in the ice, laugh and move on…
